Fortegra N.O.W. pursues this objective through networking opportunities, educational initiatives, mentoring programs, and policy that supports the unique needs of women in the workforce. In 2022, we held various events to support our staff and allow them to better connect with their peers. On a few separate occasions throughout the year, we hosted a “Coffee and Connections” where associates had the opportunity to network, meet new friends, and hear about the future of Fortegra N.O.W. over coffee and donuts. We also held a “Professional Presence” event where associates were able to connect with fellow associates while gaining insights on how to network more effectively, elevate their online professional presence through LinkedIn training, and take free professional headshots. At the event, a panel of established women discussed their leadership roles and gave advice on how to “level up” one’s career. Other events hosted by Fortegra N.O.W. include body language seminars and the Women in Insurance Conference, where women gained insight and knowledge on how to improve themselves both in and out of the workplace. Fortegra has also implemented the following policies for the betterment of our associates: privacy telephone rooms, fitness center and gym, unconscious biastraining, pumping rooms for nursing mothers, education reimbursement, networking opportunities, maternity leave, and employee volunteering initiatives. Fortegra N.O.W. is an important addition to our company that assists women, or any interested employee, with navigating the unique challenges in the workplace.
