Alpaca Country Estates is home to one of the largest and most dis- tinguished Huacaya alpaca breeding programs in the United States, boasting over 1,000 alpacas and more than 30 elite herdsires. Every breeding decision is meticulously planned to enhance uniformity, fine- ness, density, and brightness—qualities that have earned our alpacas multiple Judges Choice, Color Champion and Reserve Champion titles in black, grey, brown, fawn, and white. With a focus on continuous genetic improvement, our breeding program consistently produces al- pacas with exceptional fleece characteristics and strong conformation. Our herdsires descend from some of the most celebrated bloodlines in the industry, including Snowmass Matrix, Snowmass Nova, Patago- nia’s Lennox, Aussie .38 Special, Avatar, and R&R Oliver Twist. These sires contribute to offspring with incredible fleece quality, compact conformation, solid bone structure, and outstanding temperament. Our diverse lineup of breeding females, many confirmed pregnant, produces crias in a full spectrum of colors, from white and fawn to rich blacks and greys. Whether you’re looking to enhance your breeding program or add a fiber-producing companion, Alpaca Country Estates offers exceptional genetics, financing options, and full agistment services. We welcome fellow breeders to explore our program and see firsthand how Alpaca Country Estates is setting the standard for the next generation of champion alpacas. Hello Alpaca Enthusiasts! We’ve been involved in the alpaca industry for more than 30 years. Our 107 acre ranch, located near Culver, Oregon, is approximately an easy two hour drive from Portland. If you have an opportunity to visit our ranch, you’ll have the pleasure of viewing over 400 hua- cayas grazing in our lush, irrigated pastures. They are an accumulation of the most proven quality genetics gathered up across the U.S. Our objective is to produce alpacas with high fleece weights with low micron in solid color. The majority of our herd consists of Accoyo/Peruvian bloodlines. We believe in maintaining strong hybrid vigor while at the same time ensuring we’re breeding for excellent conformation and type. We also want to maintain the following critically important reproductive traits; an abundance of milk, easy to rebreed, quiet gentle personality. We refuse to breed genetic traits into our herd that compromise these goals. All our bred females are sold confirmed pregnant by ultrasound and with live birth guarantees. On package deals we offer discounts, reason- able finance terms, and if possible, we transport your new alpacas to your farm. We love the alpaca business and all the great people we’ve had the good fortune to meet. We invite you to explore our website or better yet, please come and visit us at our ranch.

Flying Iron Ranch is located on the beautiful western slope of Colorado, 35 acres high on a mesa in Ouray County. Owned and operated by Christine Brown and Jim Head since 2014, our journey began with four foundation female alpacas. Over the past 8 years, we have quickly evolved into a state-of-the-art program that is home to over 60 select alpacas. Our alpacas feature remarkably diverse and elite bloodlines: Hemingway, Jeremiah, Zephyrus, Titan, and Que- chua, just to name a few. We constantly strive to breed, show, and sell the highest quality alpacas that we can. Flying Iron Ranch offers herdsire breedings to all 10 of our champion males. We also offer for sale some of our very best females and their offspring, many champions themselves. Flying Iron Ranch is heavily involved in Colorado agritourism, as we conduct many farm tours and community special events. At Flying Iron Ranch, we are committed to alpacas as a fiber in- dustry. As such, we produce our own unique alpaca products and select sourced items that are available in our farm store as well as at nearby festivals and events. Flying Iron Ranch welcomes you to visit our beautiful ranch and ignite your breeding program today!
Halo Ranch Alpacas is located at the end of the Oregon Trail in the beautiful Oregon City countryside. Since its inception in 2012, our mission has been to produce the highest quality suri alpacas in the United States. The ranch is managed by Zach Hackett and his wife Jessica, who has over 13 years of experience working with some of the largest alpaca farms in the country. Her experience has been vital in our maturation as an alpaca farm, and we continue to improve the quality of our herd year after year. We were able to acquire one of the most prestigious alpaca herds in the United States — Great Lakes Ranch. This addition doubled our herd size and we jumped light years ahead of our breeding goals. We’ve been fortunate enough to win the Futurity Breeder of the Year for medium size farms for the last three years. Not only do we strive to be competitive in the show ring, but we also en- deavor to use every available resource the alpacas give us. On a daily basis we collect manure, compost it, and then use it not only on our own farm, but sell it as fertilizer to various agricultural companies as well. We also harvest and process our fiber to turn into yarn, fabric and hypoallergenic clothing. We take pride in and look forward to assisting new and ex- perienced alpaca farmers achieve their breeding goals, and are excited about the future of the alpaca industry. We fell in love with the living art that is the Suri alpaca, and today we share a farm with over 100 Suris in Concordia, Missouri. We are sur- rounded by the grace and beauty of Suri alpacas. We make breeding decisions carefully, using top stud males and females who have the characteristics to continue improvement of the Suri breed. We don’t want to just breed. We want to improve . Every year. We gather data from a variety of sources to help us make breeding decisions. •Each year we have fiber samples analyzed from our animals to determine fineness, consistency, and comfort factor. • We have our herd classified in the Suri Herd Improvement Pro- gram (SHIP) every three years or so and use information from that classification to identify strengths and weaknesses of each animal. • We participate in the Alpaca Owners Association EPD pro- gram, so we are able to see how our animals rank amid others in the country in various fiber characteristics. • Finally, we show our animals at alpaca shows to see how they stack up to other high-quality alpacas and get feedback from alpaca judges. We breed and sell animals, both to those who already have alpacas and to those who are just starting out on their alpaca journey. We specialize in helping new farms start up. We provide education to introduce newcomers to alpacas, consult in farm set-up and herd man- agement activities. We work with prospective owners to define their goals, select alpacas to match their goals, and then provide ongoing consulting and mentoring. While breeding and selling animals is our primary focus, we also pro- vide a variety of agritourism services, including tours (bringing alpacas to weddings and other events, and special appearances at nursing homes, senior centers, and schools. We sell manure, (both composted and raw) to farmers and gardeners in our area, as well.

Majestic Meadows Alpacas & Boutique is a family-owned and operated business located in Medina, Ohio on approximately 20 acres. Our love for animals and desire for an investment the whole family could enjoy prompted us to look into the investment potential of raising alpacas and we’ve never looked back! In 1994 we purchased our first alpaca and since then we’ve included numerous champion-winning and champion produc- ing alpacas. The alpaca business is everything we ever wanted in a family business, allowing us time for family life and time to create a wonderful family business we can all be a part of. We’re proud to say our selective breeding program has blessed us with multiple champion winning and ribbon winning alpacas. Our goal from the outset has been to be the best we can in both quality of alpacas we produce, sell and raise and in the service we provide. Maintaining that high standard has given us the ad- vantage of producing multiple award-winning alpacas and the opportunity to meet and build life-long friendships with alpaca breeders from across the U.S. We’ve had many successes in the alpaca business over the years and credit much of our success to our wonderful beginning and continued goal to breed and raise the best alpacas. There truly is no other business we could have ventured into that would have given us the best of both worlds, time for our family and life-long friendships we’ve forged in this business, and the opportunity to start and create a successful business on our own.
Ray and Candy McMahan began their alpaca journey in 2008. We love surrounding ourselves with the beauty of farm living and raising these majestic suri alpacas. We are located in Caswell County, NC and our farm consists of 100 acres. Our herd of 60 suris are protected by our 4 amazing livestock guard dogs, whom also keep watch over our 20 chickens. A lovely farmstore is nestled amongst our pastures along with a pristine BNB. As the industry evolves, Raynay evolves in hopes of breeding top notch suri alpacas that would make any alpaca owner proud. We have made some wonderful friends during this journey and can’t image life without these bonds. Our Motto IS the Golden Rule! You can bank on our word and our alpacas.

Shambalah Alpaca Ranch has been a staple of the Colorado Alpaca landscape since Memorial Day 2010. Our goal at Shambalah has always been to produce the best Suri Alpaca possible. With over a decade of experience, Shambalah has built a consistently award winning herd that produces cham- pions not only for us but for our clients as well. Our program combines superior genetics from across the United States that cultivates outstanding conformation and advanced fleece traits – a winning combination to be sure! We are ready to start YOUR Alpaca Adventure. Your next champion is waiting for you in the Halls of Shambalah!
We have been thoroughly enjoying the “alpaca lifestyle” since 2012. We simply cannot imagine our lives without these animals! There is nothing quite like cria season! The arrival of a long awaited, carefully considered 20 lb bundle of joy. Or having your morning cup of coffee out with the animals. We have worked very hard during our time in the industry and are very proud of the alpacas our breeding program is producing. Our goal is to keep on improving our herd while we mentor and provide our genetics to other breeders that are starting up or to more experienced breeders who find value in what we produce to help advance their breeding program. We strongly support the show system. It is a vital part of our industry, in our opinion. Promoting your animals, and bench marking your breeding program against those of your peers has value that is often underestimated. Through careful observation of what we saw winning, we tai- lored our breeding program to advance our foundation herd to produce champions. And we have had great success! Come see us - we love to talk about alpacas.

In February 1984, Stachowski Alpacas purchased 25 alpacas in Catskills, New York from the very first importation. Anthony was one of the founding fathers of the breed registry and show association. He insisted that age and sex classes be divided by COLOR. For over 38 years, Champions of all colors are found in the hundreds of rolling acres at Stachowski Alpacas. In 1995 Mary and I joined the Peruvian Importers in select- ing “the best of the best” from cooperatives in the highlands of Peru including Alianza, Accoyo, Sollocota and others. Detailed notes taken on each alpaca selected are now found on Open- herd. Thousands of alpacas were evaluated each year (P3, P4, P5, P6 and CP1). Imports exhibited exceptional traits of fine- ness, density, uniformity, and character which catapulted my herd in the show ring and breeding barn. Stachowski Alpacas grew into a marketing powerhouse with the Peruvian Classic Alpaca Sale held each October. Anthony also holds veterinary seminars across the country for private farms and associations including the popular “What you can do without the Vet.” These seminars include blood draw, dentistry, injection techniques, ultrasonography, foot care, skin issues, and much more! Today Stachowski Alpacas continues to show and breed approxi- mately 300 alpacas to banner winners. For 38 years Stachowski Alpacas’ motto “Your Success is Our Success” offers new and fellow breeders proven quality genetics, veterinary guidance, and nutritional support. We welcome visits to our farm in Mantua, Ohio, and inquiries to our website at sa@alpacaworld.com and sales listings on Openherd.
Tierra Prometida Alpacas is the oldest and most experienced alpaca ranch originally established in the Texas Hill Country in 1997. We have learned to deal with the challenges (e.g. the heat) and the blessings (e.g. the mild winters) of this particular environment and enjoy sharing our experience and knowl- edge of alpacas with other breeders and alpaca enthusiasts. Our mission and our passion at Tierra Prometida Alpacas is two-fold. It is and has always been to develop an exception- al herd of registered alpaca that exhibits elite characteristics in conformation, fleece, and temperament. We have found that showing our alpacas on a nationally competitive level is a useful measuring stick for objectively assessing our breeding program in a world that is always raising the bar for excel- lence. But we are also passionate about the health and well being of alpacas and are dedicated to the education of new breeders and the public through our ranch tours and seminars. We have a herd that is entirely huacaya and consists of about 80 alpacas. We own or co-own several world class herdsires, including: Irish Meadows Commander, Red Granites Alydar by Val D LSere, Snow Diamond Perfect Storm, Snowmass Moonlight Oblivion, and TP Absolutely Elite among others. If you find yourself in Central Texas, PLEASE give us a call and schedule a visit. We may even have the perfect alpaca or alpaca product for your needs.
