The aim of this lesson is to enable the participants to identify and apply different lifting accessories and configurations to basic lifting tasks and verify periodic certification of accessories.
The content of this lesson may be covered in connection to the practical exercises in lesson 8, 9 and 10
Note
After having successfully completed this lesson, the participants can:
34) Recognise different types of lifting accessories (Knowledge, basic level)
35) Explain how to apply the lifting accessories as per the manufacturer’s information (Knowledge, intermediate level)
36) Apply lifting accessories to lifting equipment safely (Skills, intermediate level)
37) Act Independently deciding the correct accessories for lifting operations and verify their valid periodic certification (Ability, intermediate level)
The instructor shall:
Present and pose questions about different lifting accessories and configurations and how to apply these, and lead a discussion about their functionalities and safety related lifting issues. Lifting accessories to be covered are:
