ELEMENT 4.1 - MAIN COMPONENTS OF CRANES
Learning objective:
22) The participants can explain differences in main components between crane types (Knowledge, intermediate level)
Crane types must include:
a.
cylinder luffing crane
b.
fixed radius davit crane
c.
telescopic boom crane
d.
knuckle boom
e.
jib cranes
The instructor shall:
Facilitate an exercise, where the participants point out main components on illustrations of different crane types and on the available cranes onsite
Involve participants experiences on main components on cranes by discussions and Q&As to ensure alignment of the participants understanding and awareness on similarities and differences between crane types
Provide feedback on the participants actions
The participants shall:
Engage in discussions and share their experiences and understandings on crane main components
Take part in the exercises and receive the instructor’s feedback
Examples of crane main components are presented in Annex 2, Training Visuals
