Rehabilitation Engineering is an exciting, challenging and continually evolving field that makes a real difference to people's quality of life. At our excellent facilities, which provide realistic workplace simulations, you will learn about the application of engineering principles to develop technological solutions and devices to assist individuals with disabilities and long-term conditions. This includes the design, construction and testing of a range of assistive technologies, including standard and custom-made wheelchairs, artificial limbs, robotic aids and specialist seating. You will spend approximately half of your course on clinical placements, which will allow you to hone the practical skills you need to begin your career with confidence.
