ENGINEERING: CIVIL BAY CAMPUS
Civil Engineers are helping to build a more sustainable, better future for generations to come by bringing together creative problem solving, technical excellence and working with many other professions to get the job done well. Your Civil Engineering degree will equip you with the diverse range of technical, creative, problem solving and management skills that you will need to be part of our Civil Engineering future.
As a student on our Civil Engineering degree you will gain the skills you need to work in a broad range of Civil Engineering careers and beyond. You will be taught fundamental engineering analytical and design skills, reinforced by experimental activities in our outstanding Civil Engineering laboratories. As you progress you will develop more advanced civil engineering skills, which will enable you to take on complex design projects run in collaboration with many of the leading Civil Engineering consultancies. In your third year you will develop your individual research skills by undertaking a significant research project. This can involve experimental work, computer simulation or even be industry-linked. Our course content is informed by our strong background in research and industrial collaboration, and guided by our Industry Advisory Board of experts from companies including Arup, Atkins, Mott Macdonald, Kier, BAM Nuttall, WSP and more.
