Hello Friends, Welcome to our annual Spring “You Buy Our Bulls, We’ll Bid on Your Calves” Bull and Commercial Open Replacement Heifer Sale. It’s sure a good time to be in the ranching business. Markets are strong, the cow herd heading into 2026 is smaller than a year ago, and we’re running with the tightest numbers we’ve seen since 1951. Since supply is short and demand is strong, I believe we’ve got a good couple years at least. Our bulls have been developed the right way — slow and steady. The coming two-year-olds and fall-born bulls ran out on grass all summer. After we weaned the yearlings, we turned the whole set out
together in the pasture just south of the sale barn. They were fed a balanced ration, but they still had grass under their feet, a dam to drink from, and plenty of country to travel. They came into the feedlot around Christmas, where we sorted them back into age groups and fed them according to their needs. We believe in growing bulls out, not pushing them — building longevity, soundness, and real-world performance into them from the start. The heifers were purchased this past fall at weaning from our bull customers — cattle we know and programs we trust. They’ve been sorted hard for quality, Bangs vaccinated, and received their breeding vaccinations. We’ve been offering these replacement heifers for several years now, and the feedback from past buyers has been outstanding. They should weigh 800 pounds or better by sale day, and we’ll have updated weights available then.
As a highlight, we are offering an exciting opportunity to select a “Pick of the Herd Heifer Calf”, representing the very best of our program’s genetics from past pedigrees and future potential. This special offering allows the buyer to choose from our entire 2026 born spring heifer calf crop which has been carefully bred for performance, maternal strength, structural soundness, and the proven Red Angus quality that our program has been built on.
