Welsh Zero Carbon Hub

A new initiative funded by the Welsh Government was recently launched to facilitate the sharing of best practice amongst social housing associations to cut carbon emissions from their housing stock. The ambition is to expand the resources to the private housing sector. The FMB will ensure members’ voices are heard, particularly when it comes to supply chain development and skills. If you have views on what needs to be done to prepare the building sector to retrofit social housing in Wales, get in touch with Ifan Glyn using the details below.

held on Saturday 12 October at the Giltar Hotel, overlooking Tenby’s beautiful South Beach. The event will bring the West Wales building community together to fundraise for two local charities. A warm welcome awaits

Steven welcomed FMB National President, Chris Carr, to Belfast, where Chris spent time talking with board members and industry figures about the importance the FMB continues to play in driving forward high standards and voicing members’ concerns.

The Northern Ireland AGM was held on 7 June. The recent period of nominations and voting resulted in 12 members being elected to the board for the next two years. Following the AGM, the board appointed Steven Nickell of Nickell and Richmond as Regional President. The board recognised the tremendous efforts of Willy Moffitt as Regional President over the last four years, which were challenging times for the industry. The stability he and his wife, Diane, provided for the Northern Ireland Board was incredibly valuable.

The newly constituted board contains three new members, including: ● Katherine Ferguson of Tyrell Contracts ● Chris Adair of Adair Contracts ● Declan Tennyson of Declan Tennyson
