Alnmouth Arts, rafts and restaurants

An attractive seaside village burstingwith personality situated between the River Aln and a golden sandy beach. Once a proud merchant port it’s now a peaceful haven with a wealth of restaurants, pubs and tea rooms along with an art gallery, gift shop, post office and village store. There is a mainline train station nearby (Kings Cross to Edinburgh) and regular bus service making it an ideal car free base. Alnmouth’s stunning sandy beach is perfect for a family day out. You can just sit back and relax, have forty winks or indulge in an ice-cream from Gwen’s Ice Cream van. At low-tide, you can walk all the way along the coast to Boulmer and beyond, making it great for dog walking. 40 Years of memories “Spending the day in Alnmouth. We chill right away and its very dog friendly. The beach is great for walking and the pubs serve great food.” “Waking up early and taking breakfast onto the beach to watch the sunrise. Quite stunning and very peaceful.” “It was snowing when we arrived so the views from the cottage were stunning, we sat in the living room with a fire roaring in the log burner – just blissful” “We had the best British beach holiday possible in Alnmouth. Sunshine, ice cream, flying a kite, huge skies and long beach walks.”
