Review Handover Documentation: • Responsible for the review of handover documentation, certification, and asset collection to agreed and developed formats, supporting the future implementation/ mobilisation of Collegiate’s planned and reactive maintenance strategy. Onsite Conduit: • Act as the onsite conduit between defect contractors, Estates and Facilities, and City operational teams, for reactive and planned works. • Provide essential support in the delivery of vendor management, ensuring planned works are completed in accordance with statutory regulations and industry standards. Compliance with Policies: • Ensure all third parties on-site work is carried out in accordance with Collegiate Policies. • Act as the Collegiate Appointed Person

(AP) for all associated electrical Policies, Procedures and Audits Reporting: • Provide reports to frequencies agreed with the line manager. Role Model Leadership • Be seen as subject matter experts by the City Teams and other departments within Collegiate. • Provide clarity and focus around our vision and values, be a role model, and support the personal development of the Collegiate team. • Provide motivational and inspirational leadership. Please note that due to the nature of the business and this specific role there are a large number of ad-hoc tasks which occur throughout the year – the JD is not exhaustive. Estates & Facilities Technical Manager Paul Foley – Head of Property Services Central Support 37.5 per week

About the Team As part of the Operations business, the Estates and Facilities Team is responsible for ensuring our buildings have long-term asset and lifecycle programs in place and comply with relevant legislation. The team delivers these programs by working closely with the City Operational Teams. Purpose of Role Provide strategic direction for the business concerning the rectification of non-reactive, technical planned project works, strategic alignment of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) services, and ownership of large- scale latent defects across the portfolio. The role also includes ownership and project management of key capital projects, as well as refurbishment and repair schemes, providing leadership and direction in the delivery of total facilities management (FM).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The key duties for the role are: Technical Expertise and Leadership: • Provide technical expertise and leadership for the defect and project management of major projects across our national estate. Strategic Business Plan: • Engage and support in the delivery/ development of Estates and Facilities strategic plans. Technical Expertise for City Teams: • Provide subject matter expertise and direction for the city team on all aspects of defect and project management, including all associated mechanical and electrical (M&E) services.

Documentation and Warranties: • Ensure all documentation and warranties are clearly submitted upon project completion. Technical Support: • Provide continuous technical support across the portfolio, along with supporting the mobilisation process of new builds, acquisitions, refurbishments, inclusive of any defect related works. • Produce Technical papers for client and board approval. Future Mobilisation: • Engage and support in any new developments, supporting the acquisition teams regarding future mobilisation, ensuring

PERSON PROFILE

Education: • Relevant built environment or project management related qualification/ professional membership and or professional experience and technical background • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) • City & Guilds (or equivalent) 2391-52 Level 3 Award • Membership of IWFM, APM, IOSH or equivalent Experience • Proven and demonstrable evidence of managing hard services • Demonstrable experience in commissioning, mobilisation and transition of re-fit/ construction projects at handover stage • Experience of property management in a residential or commercial context • In-dept experience of building systems, HVAC, plumbing and electrical • Demonstrable experience of working within a complex stakeholder environment • Experience of implementing and developing policies & procedures Knowledge • Significant expertise in compliance and regulatory requirements and issues relating to property and facilities sectors • Significant expertise in strategic planning including monitoring, risk management, impact mitigation, reporting and auditing • Detailed knowledge of Health and Safety regulations • Sound understanding of the financial mechanisms that underpin operational properties – Budgets, Cost control, Capex
