The SWVS Visionary Award is presented to an individual who is recognized by the profession and is actively engaged in private, public, or corporate veterinary practice whose contributions elevate the standards and goals of veterinary medicine. The 2018 award will be presented at the SWVS President’s Reception on Saturday, September 22, 2018.
The annual scholarship covers registration, travel and lodging to the Southwest Veterinary Symposium. Recipient must have graduated from a college of veterinary medicine within the past five years and be actively engaged in food animal or mixed practice, public health, nation building, or food security programs. The scholarship recipient for 2018 will be selected by the awards committee and presented the scholarship award at the SWVS President’s Reception on Saturday, September 22, 2018.
