Rooted in cultural relevance and respect for tradition, this initiative creates a space where Hmong women elders can share their wisdom, experiences, and insights on combating violence within their com- munities. Led by Maiv Nyiaj Moua, the Wisdom Proj- ect offers a unique opportunity for intergenerational dialogue and collective healing. For Black elders looking to connect, learn, and cele- brate life, the 50 Plus and Fabulous program offers a welcoming space for community engagement and em- powerment. Through a range of activities, discussions, and events, participants can come together to share stories, build connections, and explore ways to stay ac- tive and vibrant in their golden years. People Like Us (PLUS) caters to the needs of Black and Southeast Asian individuals who identify as LGBTQ+. This program creates a supportive and affirming en- vironment where participants can share experiences,
advocate for their rights, and build a sense of community. Led by M Adams, PLUS of- fers a platform for dialogue, education, and empowerment among LGBTQ+ individu- als within the Black and Southeast Asian communities. These adult programs at Freedom Inc. sym- bolize a commitment to cultural specificity, community support, and empowerment through shared experiences and advocacy. By providing spaces for connection, edu- cation, and dialogue, these initiatives em- power individuals to navigate challenges, celebrate their identities, and build resilient communities. Through their dedication to inclusivity and cultural relevance, Freedom Inc. continues to be a beacon of support and empowerment for adults from diverse backgrounds, fostering a sense of belong- ing and agency among participants.
