Sophomore Year

DECLARE A MAJOR Reflect on your interests, strengths, and long-term goals, and choose a major that aligns with them. Meet with academic advisors to discuss your options and create a graduation plan. As you progress in your studies, consider taking more advanced courses in your major. Explore elective courses that complement your major or explore new subjects that pique your interest. Engage actively in class discussions, build connections with peers, and seek opportunities for undergraduate research or projects. PURSUE EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING Sophomore year is a great time to start gaining practical experience in your field of interest. Look for internships, co-op programs, or research opportunities that provide hands-on experience and help you build a professional network. Career services offices can assist you in finding these opportunities. Or consider spending a semester or a summer studying abroad or participating in a domestic exchange program. These experiences can broaden your horizons, enhance your cultural understanding, and provide unique academic and personal growth opportunities!
