OUR HERITAGE
More Than a Name. A Legacy. For many years, the land that is now Alamar was owned and farmed by the Lakin family, who raised cattle and helped pioneer the process of pelletizing Bermuda hay. Their legacy is deeply rooted in this community—and it continues to shape the story of Alamar today. The name “Alamar” was chosen as a tribute to that history. An alamar knot is a symbolic braid worn on a horse’s chest, signifying its transition into a finished bridle horse—a true badge of honor. Today, both the name and logo reflect a thoughtful blend of past and present— honoring the West Valley’s rich agrarian heritage while embracing a modern, forward-looking community.

Home for the Holidays Experience the magic of the season at Home for the Holidays. Meet Santa & Mrs. Claus, take a ride on the Alamar Express, and enjoy snow in the desert! Kids can write letters to the North Pole and create festive ornaments. End the evening with a traditional tree lighting, cozy s’mores, and a hot cocoa bar for the whole family to enjoy.
Stars, Stripes, & Splash Summers at Alamar are best spent by the water! Celebrate in patriotic style at Hay Moon Pool for an evening designed to delight—enjoy music, carnival games, and the always-popular watermelon eating contest. As the sun sets, take in a sparkling fireworks display right from the pool.
