Your Guide to Later Life Finance

So, how much equity do I have? In simple terms, your equity is the value of your home minus any outstanding mortgage or loan secured against it. For example, if your house is worth £300,000 and you have an outstanding mortgage of £50,000, your property equity would be £250,000. Equity release allows you to access some of that money without ever needing to sell your home or move out – meaning you can stay in the home you love while having more flexibility with your finances.
