Walking Club Update by Kristina McWethy Through rain or snow or blazing heat, the Crest Foods Walking Club has refused to let the temperamental Midwest weather detour their charitable efforts. As the 2020-2021 event comes to an end, nearly 90 employees have logged miles in an effort to raise money for local charity. This 12 month event began on July 1, 2020 and ran through June 30, 2021. In exchange for their activity, Crest has vowed to donate $2 per mile walked/run and $.50 per mile biked to local charities. Each employee is able to earn a donation of up to $1,000 for a local charity of their choice to be paid out at the completion of the event. Most of the numbers are in, and Crest employees raised about $42,300 for local charities! Twenty two employees reached their max individual donation amount of $1,000, and many employees came close! Miles Walked & Ran: 23,902* Miled Biked: 14,545* Total Donation Amount: $42,300 *Miles continue to be counted after max donation is met. We are so proud of employees for embracing the new format and sticking it out for the entire year! Because of your dedication, we are going to make a lot of local charities happy!
