While most flamenco guitar students have a good working knowledge of technique and are confident when playing pre-composed material, if asked to perform in a more traditional manner, where spontaneous elements are required, many struggle. This unique flamenco course, taught by the critically acclaimed flamenco guitarist and educator Samuel Moore, seeks to address this. Central to its philosophy is the notion that mastering simple compá s (rhythm) ideas (in the context of different palos) and learning how to integrate them with other performance components (such as falsetas and llamadas) is the key to unlocking flamenco’s spontaneous performance elements at a basic level.
