The order came down several months BGUFSUIF$%4#&0IBEBMSFBEZBQQSPWFE its 2018-2019 operating budget, which left the school district in a deficit situation before the end of the term. School districts are not allowed under provincial regulations to have deficit bud- gets. If the $2.3 million school busing FYQFOTFEJEOUFYJTU $%4#&0USVTUFFT would just be looking at a possible $9700 deficit situation to solve for the 2019- 2020 budget plan. The projected increase in student enrol- ment for the next term means an increase in the per-student provincial support fund- JOHGPSUIF$%4#&0 That will help deal with other changes to operation costs like new provincial demands for increased class sizes and re- duction or elimination of funding for some classroom teaching support positions.
