T he Wisconsin Women of Color Network (WOCN) shines a spotlight on the critical importance of cultural competency and ally training as a means to foster inclusivity and support women of color leadership in a predominantly mainstream environment within the landscape of the anti-violence movement. Recognizing the need to bridge cultural divides and elevate the knowledge and com- petency of mainstream advocates and programs, WOCN has established a comprehensive training program aimed at cultivating a cadre of allies who are equipped to embrace and champion the voices of women of color and other marginalized populations. This training initiative is tailored for indi- viduals from majority populations who are committed to learning how to effectively serve as allies to Communities of Color, Women, LGBTQ, Elder, Native, Immigrant, and Refugee populations. The Cultural Competency and Ally Training offered by WOCN represents a pivotal step towards fos- tering a more inclusive and equitable anti-violence movement. By providing mainstream advocates and allies with the tools, knowledge, and insights necessary to navigate the complexities of cultural diversity and intersectionality, WOCN aims to create a supportive environment where women of color leadership can thrive and be uplifted. Through targeted training sessions, workshops, and in- teractive modules, participants are empowered to cultivate a deeper understanding of the unique challenges faced by marginalized communities and develop the skills needed to act as effective allies in the fight against violence and oppression. Central to the training curriculum is the emphasis on building cultural competency among allies, enabling them to engage authentically with diverse communities and amplify the voices of those often marginalized within mainstream spaces. By equipping allies with the awareness and sensitivity
