Meet the Dedicated Women Behind the Women of Color Network's Mission

T he Women of Color Network (WOCN) is driven by a dedicated team of three committed staff members and a cadre of nationally recog- nized women of color consultants. Their com- bined efforts play a pivotal role in addressing the unique challenges faced by women of color, fos- tering community empowerment, and advanc- ing anti-oppression initiatives. Leading the charge is Tonya Lovelace, MA, the WOCN Project Manager. Tonya brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role, draw- ing upon two graduate degrees and a background as an adjunct instructor at several accredited universities. Her extensive experience in direct service, systems change, and project coordina- tion is complemented by her expertise in nation- al, state, and local anti-oppression and cultural competency training. Tonya is instrumental in the overall development and growth of WOCN projects, overseeing national training, technical assistance, and support provided to WOCN con- stituents, Advisors, Mentor Project, and consul- tants across the country.
