Guiding Growth: The WOCN Mentor Project

T he Mentor Project stands as a cornerstone initiative guided by the core principle of "each one, teach one." This philosophy underscores the essence of mentorship within WOCN, where seasoned advocates extend a helping hand to local advocates in need of support in their current endeavors or aspiring to embark on new initiatives. With a network comprising over 80 culturally diverse and dynamic mentors spanning the breadth of the United States and its territories, the WOCN Mentor Project embodies the spirit of collaboration, guidance, and empowerment. The Mentor Project has a commitment to fostering meaningful mentoring relationships between ad- vocates in the realm of anti-violence against women and their WOCN mentors. These mentors play a pivotal role in shaping the professional growth and development of mentees by providing invaluable guidance, serving as role models, offering diverse perspectives, and facilitating networking oppor- tunities. Through these interactions, mentees gain access to a wealth of knowledge and experience 6 | womenofcolornetwork.org
