Advanced Power Electronics in Automotive Applications C1872 2 Days | Classroom Seminar OVERVIEW Power electronics (PE) is one of the most important areas of the automotive subsystem. This course will help bridge a knowledge gap with non-electrical engineers by delving deeper into key aspects of PE circuits, components and design requirements in automotive applications. Topics covered include power semiconductor devices, high-frequency magnetics & capacitors. Advanced methods for design, analysis, modeling, & verification of applied PE & related control systems for switch-mode power supplies, DC-DC converters, power rectifiers, static power inverters & universal power supplies are examined, along with electric machines, motors & transformers, & their associated PE drive requirements. The course provides an overview of the electrical power system and power systems analysis in the context of PE applications in automotive platforms. COURSE DETAILS Instructor C. Wang C.
