profitable. In fact, this reviewer re gards the book as being very profit' able for the student who would know more of the Revelation. It is to be pointed out, however, that, the author removes the .Rapture of the church from the fourth chapter (at which point in the Revelation most Bible teachers believe it occurs) to the sounding of the seventh trumpet at the end of chapter eleven. He be lieves that here is the beginning of the Tribulation, for he believes that the church is removed before the be ginning of this judgment of the earth and its inhabitants. The difference of opinion is not as to the “why,” nor the “how,” nor the “what,” but as to the “when” of the removal of the church from the earth. 239 pages. The Harrison Service. Minneapolis, Minn. of the plot as a whole rather than of any particular part unrelated to the whole. Action and progress toward the final goal characterize this work. There is never a dull moment caused by lengthy discussions of problems. The style is clear, and even though one had not had any acquaintance with the Revelation, he could learn much by simply reading this volume w ith^is Bible in hand. Since “no prophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation” 12 -Pet. 1:20), Dr. Harrison has taken much effort to show the vital relation of this Unveiling to the other parts of the Word of God, especially to the feasts of Leviticus 23, the prophecies of Daniel, the parables of Matthew 13, and the Olivet discourse of Mat thew 24 and 25. Many false ideas of the end time have arisen because of thé failure to compare scripture with scripture. Hence, Dr. •Harrison takes much effort to compare scriptures. : Probatrly.no one ever has written a volume with which the readers will agrée in its entirety. The same is true of this work. Yet that does not mean that the volume may not be good and

THE END: RE-THINKING THE REVELATION By Norman B. Harrison

The Book of the Revelation has been and is, perhaps, the most misunder stood book of all time. ,Many who read the Bible find little in the last book which they can understand; some because they- read so superfi cially, and others because they fail to get the key to the book, which is the Lord Jesus Christ HimSfelf. This leads many to have little appreciation for this great Revelation that God has given to the church. Therefore, every effort to“ make this book^ real and practical must be looked upon with favor. Dr. ¡Harrison’s volume will be a great heip in this matter. . This volume is an exposition, not just a verse-by-verse commentary, but an exposition that show? the great unveiling of the great drama of THE END. Each character is brought to the stage, viewed in performing his part in the movement of the drama, and then seen as he leaves the scene for his. final end. Hence, the treat ment is of sections rather than verses,

In this, the forty-third year of pub lication, Dr. Torrey’s concise exposi tion of the International Sunday School lessons will be welcomed again by grateful users. The book is re garded by many as being the best available vest-pocket commentary on the subject. It gives the full text of the lesson besides a clear outline and [Continued on Page 39] - CHRIST CALLS FOR CONSECRATION IN 1942 LOOKING UNTO HIM By Frank E. Gaebelein GOD’S WORD FOR TODAY By O.
