THE MAGIC OF ATTITUDE Scripture reminds us that, "As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he" (Proverbs 23:7). This emphasis is a very important truth emotionally and psychologically. We find those things on which we should allow our minds to dwell defined in Phil- ippians 4:8,9. The Lord would have us keep putting into practice all the things we have learned in the Word if we desire peace to be with us. The two words in this text which stand out in my mind are "think" (vs. 8) and "do" (vs. 9). How do we face life each day? What are our attitudes? This is ba sic to the way we live and relates to
what we eventually achieve. You see, our actions, feelings, and moods will determine the response of others to us. It is our attitude toward life which will determine life's attitude toward us. In a sense each one of us can achieve our own climate and environment for daily existence. One of the most important lessons any of us can learn is the fact that we can alter our lives by changing our attitudes of mind. The first step embodies thoughts concerning ourself. We certainly cannot give to others something we do not possess. The attitude we take toward ourselves determines
