I-4 Infrastructure Assessment

Safety The existing transportation infrastructure encourages high speed motor vehicle travel and creates an unsafe environment for all users, particularly vulnerable users including pedestrians and bicyclists. There are a total of 8,617 crashes that occurred within the study boundary from 2015-2019. As indicated in Table 5 , a total of 3,658 crashes occurred in the study boundary (excluding crashes) from 2015 to 2019. As indicated in Table 3, a total of 1,338 crashes occurred within the Nodes Areas from 2015 to 2019. Street lighting within the study boundary is sporadic.
