SENSORY CORNER IN THE KIDS CONSERVATORY
Families traveling with a child with autism usually have a good idea of what they need to have a successful vacation: destinations where they can create a predictable schedule, participating in activities geared toward their child’s interests, and where it’s possible to take sensory breaks from the crowds. Our property not only caters and welcomes all, but we wanted to ensure we had an area where those on the spectrum could take a moment and have a much-needed pause from all the adventure and excitement.
Our Director of Recreation Brandon Goetschius and his team worked with several associates who have gifted children with neurodevelopmental conditions to help create the perfect space. Located on the 6th floor, our Kids Conservatory has a custom-built Sensory Corner complete with noise-reducing headphones, a Lego wall, textured pillows and blankets, and other soothing elements. Every detail in the space was thoughtfully designed. We welcome all guests to explore this space at JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek which provides a beautiful pause from daily activities to recharge.
