One of the eye-catching components is the 9th floor rooftop lounge, illume - the crown jewel of our resort. It’s exquisite detailing plays a nod to Peruvian and Japanese cultures, drawing further inspiration from the surrounding vista wrapped in warm sunlight and a dramatically illuminated night sky backdrop, thanks to the Walt Disney World Resort nightly fireworks display. The Asian influence of the outlet pays homage to Sakura-kai; a community group for Japanese women in Central Florida established over 40 years ago. Besides monthly luncheons, Sakura- kai regularly participates in local events and festivals, acting as a gateway to authentic Japanese culture.
The illume menu offers traditional- contemporary sushi along with a variety of eclectic seafood dishes. The exceptional quality of gourmet fare is attributed to a one-of-a-kind combination of fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients along with the careful selection of fish. The refined food menu is complemented by a versatile wine and sake program. By constantly experimenting with innovative and traditional culinary methods, the restaurant strives to create courses that tell stories of Japan’s bountiful culinary influence in Orlando.
