Love of the Game Set Builder Auction - Winter, 2023

42. 1909-11 T206 EPDG Hughie Jennings (HOF - Both Hands Showing) - SGC EX- NM+ 6

Extremely strong, higher-grade exampleof the Hugh Jennings “both hands showing” pose, with a superb image, some subtle color transitioning in the sky behind the Tigers manager. Centering is strong, with a light touch to the upper left corner; a border break from the factory can be seen toward the lower left side. The El Principe De Gales back is resplendent in a bold red, well defined and pleasing to the eye. Higher grade T206 Hall of Famers with tough backs check a lot of boxes for collectors; this is no exception. MINIMUM BID: $500

43. 1909-11 T206 Addie Joss (HOF - Portrait) - PSA EX-MT 6

44. 1909-11 T206 Addie Joss (HOF - Pitching) - PSA EX-MT 6

Addie Joss is captured in his T206 portrait pose, framed with a lemon sky, which sets off his dark blue uniform in fine fashion. Bright looking while the upper have seen a little more wear than the other two. The reverse is a Piedmont 150 Factory 25, with strong blue color and attractive look. A beautiful, higher-grade example of one of the most popular cards in the set. MINIMUM BID: $1,000

Addie Joss’s pitching pose in T206 has an orange sky going to twilight cast behind him as he gets ready to throw. The color is rich on this example, graded EX-MT 6 by PSA, with appealing centering and a bright look. The reverse is a Sweet Caporal 350-460 Factory 25, with a small dot of foxing or tobacco stain near the top. MINIMUM BID: $500
