UMADAOP including UMADAOP Lucas County, are rooted in the visionary leadership of former Cincinnati State Representative William L. Mallory, Sr., who established the original seven Ohio UMADAOP organizations, catalyzing empowerment and change within minority communities. Mallory’s legislative impact reshaped Ohio’s social and economic landscape through over 600 pieces of sponsored legislation, notably founding the Urban Minority Alcohol Drug Outreach Program. His commitment to positive transformation extended to urban development projects and rehabilitation initiatives, reflecting a legacy of service that continues through his family’s civic contributions across various fields.
