GIVING BACK
Queen’s Kindness Girls at Queen’s regularly participate in fundraising events throughout the year and thrive when giving back to society through supporting a wide range of causes. These fundraising activities provide opportunities for collaboration, creativity and leadership development, empowering pupils to contribute to something greater than themselves. Thanks to the School’s fundraising efforts this year, we have managed to raise over £14,000 towards a variety of charities and causes. Our annual Macmillan Bake Sale is always the highlight of the fundraising calendar, and this year was no different as the girls created outstanding cakes and sweet treats to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support . We were truly impressed with the skill, creativity and dedication that had been poured into each bake, making the judging of the House competition that more difficult. A much deserved congratulations to our competition winners. Overall, the girls raised £371.64 through the sales of their delicious bakes. Winners: • Isla Swift in Year 11, for her ‘Support Macmillan’ teacup cake • Elsie Mugridge in Year 8, for her dog cake • Elizabeth Edwards in Year 11, for the autumn themed cake
