Re Prom, hosted by Head Girl Natasha Latham, at the Senior School
In March, Senior School pupils had a fabulous time celebrating Red Nose Day, with an own clothes day and themed bake sale raising funds for Comic Relief. Together, the girls managed to raise £385.70 for the charity. Leading by example Our dedicated staff are also keen to highlight the importance of giving back to society and have taken part in a variety of fundraising activities throughout the year. Throughout the month of October, our Lower School Learning Support Coordinator and Teacher, Mrs Maughan , completed 100 Skips a Day for Cancer Research UK , encouraging Key Stage 2 pupils to join her on the playground. As she completed the challenge in memory of her sister, whose life was cut short at the age of 35, Mrs Maughan managed to raise over £465 towards the charity. A group of Lower and Senior School staff also joined the Snowdon Sunrise Walk to raise money for Clatterbridge Cancer Charity . Although conditions weren’t ideal, our staff were able to battle the wet and windy conditions up and down the mountain. We were extremely pleased to receive a certificate of appreciation from the charity for the superb effort of our Queen’s team, who were able to raise over £3,200 in donations. Re Prom In March, the School saw an evening of elegance and altruism as we hosted Re Prom, a charity event organised by Head Girl Natasha Latham to raise awareness and donations for Evie’s Gift . The evening involved a dazzling fashion show featuring our very own Queen’s girls, who showcased the beautiful new and pre loved dresses that were for sale, as well as professional demonstrations in make up, hair and beauty. The event also welcomed a variety of prom related service suppliers, a couple of who graciously donated prizes for the raffle. Beyond the glitz and glamour, the true essence of the evening shone through and over £6,600 was raised. Evie’s Gift is a charity that supports the families of critically ill children across the UK, and is especially close to Natasha’s heart, who’s friend’s memory inspired the charity’s inception. A huge thank you to all who attended and contributed towards this important cause, and congratulations to Natasha on organising such a wonderful event.
Re Prom raised awareness for Evie's Gift
"Evie started school with me, but her life was cruelly cut short after suffering from a brain tumour. Evie's Gift was set up in her name, to help families of critically ill children, and I am proud to be raising
money for this great cause." Natasha Latham, Head Girl
