2 U8 netball team

SPORT Sporting achievements Lower School • Netball This year, we have seen our netball teams go from strength to strength, with over 100 netball matches played from Years 3 through to Year 11. We have seen an incredible number of pupils participating in netball, from friendly matches to national competitions, and achieved incredible success. Our Year 6 team competed in the AJIS Netball Plate , coming 3rd. Year 6 netball team: Isabella Banham, Zara Hardcastle, Ava Hill, Lily Johnson, Beatrice O’Brien, Darcie Quayle, Sophie Reid Entwistle, Mia Whitton and Twinkle Yang . Year 5 netballers placed 4th in the AJIS Netball Cup . Year 5 netball team: Sophie Boyle, Rosie Broome, Annabel Heath, Anabelle Lipscombe, Eva Lowry, Jemima Morris Yousaf and Rayneeta Rattaphaet . Our Year 5 and 6 mixed team also had success at the Chester Schools Netball Tournament , emerging as winners. The team included Sophie Boyle, Rosie Broome, Zara Hardcastle, Annabel Heath, Ava Hill, Eva Lowry, Jemima Morris Yousaf, Rayneeta Rattaphaet and Mia Whitton . Under 12 netballers came away winners at the Chester and District tournament . U12A: Sienna Bennett, Amélie Rose Godley, Izabel Hardy, Tiamii Roberts, Isla Santos Hewitt, Josie Tunnicliffe, Valentina Watkin and Minnie Wildes . U12B: Mala Ellis, Eva Gilhooley, Annabelle Godfrey, Violet Jones, Mia Latt, Sara Lipinska, Lucy Petrie, Verity Roberts and Phoebe Whitfield . Our U13A netball team had a very successful year, achieving many great results. They came away winners of the Independent Schools Netball Competition , a national knockout tournament where they played teams from across the country, beating Streatham and Clapham School in a close final! They also achieved success in the Chester and District

tournament and Packwood Invitational , coming away winners in both. U13A team: Alice Boyle, Lauren Dandy, Chloe Higgins, Safiyah Jaffri, Isabel Mackay, Alice Pownall, Sophie Sandhu, Grace Sebborn, Charlotte Sweeney and Katy Watson . Our U13B team emerged as Sisters n Sport Bowl semi finalists, winning the Chester and District tournament , and coming 3rd place in the Packwood Invitational . U13B team: Clemence Batt, Zara Douglas, Lauren Higgins, Daisy Holland Hewlett, Olivia Kermode, Marley Radcliffe, Skye Simpson, Megan Smith, Sandy Walley and Ava Whitton . Under 14 netballers competed in the Chester and District tournament , with our U14A team coming 3rd. U14A team: Madison Alford, Olivia Atkinson, Naomi Kington Brady, Sophie Mulcaster, Jessica Owen, Matilda Penny, Harriet Pritchard Bibby and Amelia Sale . Individually, some of our Queen’s girls have had some outstanding achievements. This includes Lauren Dandy, Chloe Higgins, Isabella Kington Brady, Isabel Mackay, Alice Pownall, Sophia Sandhu, Isla Santos Hewitt and Grace Sebborn who have represented Cheshire, Merseyside and Shropshire County. Lauren Dandy, Isabel Mackay and Alice Pownall were also selected for the Manchester Thunder Pathway, and Naomi Kington Brady was selected for the Loughborough Lightning Pathway. • Hockey It has been another successful year of hockey at Queen’s. With over 70 fixtures, from the 1st XI to the Year 3 and 4 House Hockey Tournament, pupils have competed in local, regional and national tournaments.
