Swimming Championship in October, which proved to be an exciting event for all swimmers with some tough competition. Many took the challenge and competed in older age groups, which was a fantastic challenging experience for them. Amelia Fitzgerald in Year 10 was delighted to win the chance to attend a butterfly swim camp this year, hosted by Olympic swimmer James Guy. The day consisted of land training, sports psychology, and a two hour pool session. She also had the opportunity to train with Adam Peaty. Amber Nash in Year 5 saw success as she took part in her first two competitive galas this year, coming away with one gold medal, three silver medals, and two bronze medals. She also joined Year 7 swimmer Isabelle Skippon at a successful meet in Holywell, with swimmers from all over North West England and Wales. • Athletics This year, our Year 5 and 6 pupils attended two indoor athletics competitions, where they competed in different athletics disciplines. Rosie Broome performed exceptionally at the AJIS Indoor Athletics competition , coming 2nd place in the chest push and 3rd place in the sprint. At the Cheshire Schools Indoor Athletics competition , Queen’s pupils saw multiple successes, including Isabella Banham , who emerged as the chest push winner, Zara Hardcastle , who was the six lap Parlaauf winner, and Sophie Reid Entwistle , who came away as winner in the six lap Parlaauf and the speed bounce. Our Under 13 team were crowned Chester and District winners, progressing on to the Indoor Athletics County Finals where they placed 3rd overall. Under 13 team: Clemence Batt, Lauren Dandy, Daisy Holland Hewlett, Lauren Higgins, Safiyah Jaffri, Isabel Mackay, Alice Pownall and Rebekah Shuler . A team of Under 13 and Under 15 athletes took part in the Cheshire School’s Cup and demonstrated outstanding effort, with the Under 13 team achieving runner up position in most

Counties Championships in the Under 15 800m, performing exceptionally well and running a personal best. • Tennis Zara Douglas in Year 8 has seen many successful matches this academic year, including 1st place wins at the Wales County Tour and the North Wales ‘Play Your Way to Wimbledon’ club round at Wrexham. She goes on to play at the County Finals in July, where she will compete to represent North Wales at Wimbledon. • Rounders Our Year 7, 8, 9 and 10 rounders team had a successful start to the season against The King’s School Chester, as they emerged victorious in three out of four of the matches. Our Under 14 rounders team performed exceptionally well at the Chester and District tournament , progressing through to the semi finals after demonstrating some superb teamwork and coordination skills. • Biathlon For the first time, Queen’s entered the National Schools Biathlon Championship this year. There were amazing performances from all competitors, with Clemence Batt, Lauren Higgins and Sophie Mulcaster qualifying for the national finals. • Pistol Shooting Also for the first time, The Queen’s Pistol Team entered the National Pistol Shooting Championships . They won the Schools Pistol Championship West Midlands and North West
