• Gymnastics Florence Hogan in Year 4 competed in the North Wales Classic Challenge & Vol Levels 2023 gymnastics competition, coming 3rd place on the beam and taking overall 1st place as a team in her age and level category. • Acrobatics Claudia Da Rocha Prol in Year 5 competed in the Welsh Acrobatics Championships in Cardiff, winning the silver medal with her partner. • Climbing With climbing now in the Olympics, it’s a very exciting time to be a climber. Anna Heyes in Year 12 and Bethan Coughlan in Year 10 competed at the Light’s Out event at the Boardroom Climbing Centre, with Anna coming 1st in her age category. • Taekwondo Ilektra Pagkrati in Year 7 had a brilliant time at the B ritish Taekwondo National Championship , training with the International Taekwondo Federation Grandmaster Wim Bos and world champion Bos Timothy. She did very well, coming 4th in her age category. • Volunteer of the Year Polly Turner in Year 10 was delighted to be voted Young Volunteer of the Year at the 30th Conwy Sports Awards, an event which recognises and honours talented sports people and volunteers from the county.

Qualifier, and progressed to the National Finals, where they achieved joint 4th place in the country after demonstrating complete control and calmness under pressure. • Equestrian Annabel Heath in Year 5, Poppy Bink s in Year 6, Sandy Walley in Year 8, Sophie Mulcaste r in Year 9, and Eva Tierney in Year 10 competed for The Queen’s Equestrian Team at Kelsall Hill, with the girls winning the 50cm, 85cm and 95cm team competitions. Lydia Ibbetson in Year 10 and Olivia Kermode and Megan Smith in Year 8 performed superbly at competitions throughout the year, with their success resulting in them qualifying for the Hickstead Eventers Challenge Championship in September. • Tetrathlon Sophie Mulcaster in Year 9 competed at the Royal Windsor Horse Show tetrathlon, representing Wales and Borders. She performed brilliantly, finishing 2nd individually and 3rd with her team. • Rowing Kirsten Robertson in Year 12 and Sophia Andrew in Year 11 had a successful rowing season when they competed in the North of England Head with the Royal Chester Rowing Club and came out victorious in the WJ17 4x category. Before the start of the academic year, Kirsten also competed in the British Junior Rowing Championships , winning a bronze medal. • Cross Country Sophie Mulcaster in Year 9 qualified to the county round of a cross country competition, representing Chester in what was a really tough race. Sophie demonstrated incredible resilience, commitment and dedication to completing the course. • Skiing

Penelope Collier Jervis in Year 4 has had a busy skiing year and competed in the National League Skiing Finals , receiving four gold medals leading up to the event and placing 7th overall. She also raced in the Rossendale Club National, coming 2nd overall and winning the silver cup. • Archery Meredith Burton in Year 8 took home the gold medal in the invite only UK Junior Masters event, following her success placing 2nd in the Central England Open and the Cheshire Junior Championships .
