Sue Wallace Woodroffe With deep gratitude and a touch of sadness, we bid farewell to an extraordinary headteacher, colleague, and friend. Mrs Wallace Woodroffe’s unwavering

school community, reminding us all of the huge difference a dedicated teacher can make. Thank you, Helen, for everything.

Tricia Potter After over 15 years of service to Queen’s and four Headmistresses, Tricia retired from her Head’s PA and Office Manager role to explore her love of art and camping. Having written countless minutes and communications to parents, pupils, staff, and the wider community, what Tricia didn’t

dedication, passion for sport, music and crafts, and boundless compassion have left an indelible mark on our hearts and our School community. Under her leadership, our School has become a vibrant hub of learning, innovation and inclusivity. Her vision is exemplified by the determination to build an AstroTurf and the School’s first Virtual Boardroom, providing every girl at Queen’s with outstanding opportunities for growth. Mrs Wallace Woodroffe’s promotion of sports has taught us teamwork, perseverance and sportsmanship. She inspired curious minds in design technology, maths and biology lessons, and always made time for personal connections – lunches with Year 7, chats with students in reception, and Friday evening lacrosse sessions. Her enthusiasm for the performing arts brought us memorable highlights like Hamilton and West Side Story. Her kindness and compassion have been a guiding presence, offering support during tough times and celebrating our triumphs. As she embarks on a new chapter, we are confident that she will continue to inspire and empower others. Thank you, Mrs Wallace Woodroffe, for your unparalleled leadership and the profound impact you’ve had on all of us. We will miss you dearly, but your legacy will live on.

know about Queen’s was insignificant. The consummate professional, Tricia was always there for everyone, never ruffled and always calm. Tricia enjoyed the fun side of Queen’s life too – always making good use of any opportunity to dress up on own clothes day, even making mice outfits for the Office Team, so they could be the three blind mice! One very fond memory that Mrs Humphreys has was when Tricia turned Queen’s into Hogwarts for Sarah Clark’s leaving day – she even managed to have an owl delivering Sarah’s invitation! Tricia is passionate about being creative and, over the years, we have seen many demonstrations of her abilities to paint, draw and sew with great skill. She was a regular visitor to the Art Department, to get some advice on a current project she was undertaking. Tricia earned herself a place on Sky Landscape Artist of the Year as the wildcard and has exhibited locally in art exhibitions. We treasure a painting which Tricia made as a leaving gift for the School, which now has pride of place in the staffroom. We know now you are retired, Tricia, your artistic skills will continue to have the space to really develop. Thank you for your creativity while working with us.
