Overnight in Chiang Rai. DAY 7: CHIANG MAI Today, depart for Chiang Mai. Visit the sacred Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, which is found near the top of Mount Suthep and is still a working monastery. Experience a private blessing and see the chanting monks before continuing on to Waroros Market - featuring food and flower stalls. Try Thai sweets and buy some souvenirs before your overnight stay in Chiang Mai. DAY 8: VILLAGE VISIT IN HANG DONG DISTRICT Head to the countryside on the outskirts of Chiang Mai in the Hang Dong district and meet a local family. Spend today experiencing the customs and traditions of the family and learn about local crafts, cuisine and architecture. Explore the area before enjoying a freshly-cooked meal. Later, return to your hotel for free time. DAY 9-12: KOH YAO NOI Transfer to Chiang Mai International Airport for your flight to Phuket. Transfer to Koh Yao Noi and check-in at your hotel on this laid- back island. Found in Phang Nga Bay, you have the beauty and relaxation of Phuket without the crowds. Enjoy hiking, kayaking and snorkelling at the beach, or explore the area with a motorbike or tuk-tuk ride to see buffalos, mangroves, wooden houses, and rubber plantations. Relax with a spa treatment or unwind with a drink from one of the beach huts and cafés.
DAY 1: ARRIVE IN BANGKOK On arrival in Bangkok, enjoy a VIP meet-and- greet service - where you bypass queues at the immigration counter - before you’re taken to a limousine for your hotel transfer. After check-in, spend time exploring the area. Later, you’re picked up and driven to Asiatique The Riverfront to see Muay Thai Live - a show featuring Thai culture and martial art. Try local street food and look around the night bazaar before returning to your hotel. DAY 2: BANGKOK Visit Wat Pho and see the famous Reclining Buddha. Continue to Temple of the Emerald Buddha, before viewing Grand Palace and having lunch near Amulet Market. Ride a rickshaw to Wat Saket, climb the Golden Mount, and look at south-east Asian antiques in Jim Thompson House. Return to your hotel by taxi or BTS Skytrain. DAY 3: KANCHANABURI After breakfast, head to Kanchanaburi. This is a famous tourist spot mainly because of its Death Railway - memorialised in the film “The Bridge on the River Kwai” - and fascinating Thailand-Burma Railway Museum. Then, travel across jungles and rivers as you wind around mountains on a scenic train journey before lunch at a local restaurant. Go to your hotel in the Kanchanaburi province and enjoy the natural landscape before your overnight stay. DAY 4: KANCHANABURI TO BANGKOK Have breakfast before visiting Hellfire Pass, which is a part of Death Railway that was especially difficult to build due to harsh conditions. This site truly highlights the danger involved in the railway’s construction. Return to Bangkok for dinner and your final overnight stay in the capital city. DAY 5: CHIANG RAI Today, fly to Chiang Rai. Based in the Golden Triangle region, Chiang Rai gives you the opportunity to see where Laos, Myanmar and Thailand meet. View the stunning White Temple - a modern art exhibit that glistens in the sun - and visit House of Opium Museum. Enjoy tasty dishes of curry, spiced chicken, and rice noodles for lunch and dinner before your overnight stay.
