DAY 1: ARRIVE IN BANGKOK Arrive in Bangkok and take a private transfer to your hotel for your first overnight stay in this exciting capital city. DAY 2: BANGKOK In the morning, meet your local guide and explore the the Grand Palace. See the sacred Wat Phra Kaew and travel to one of the oldest temples, Wat Po, for a Thai foot massage. Take the ferry to Jim Thompson House for a guided tour around its collection of Asian art, antiques and buildings. Explore Chinatown before returning to your hotel. DAY 3: CHIANG RAI Today, transfer to the airport for your flight to Chiang Rai, where you’re greeted and transferred to your hotel. Discover the city’s beauty on an evening rickshaw ride and visit the popular, Wat Rong Khun, which is a bright-white, Buddhist-style temple. DAY 4: MEKONG CRUISE TO PAKBENG After breakfast, transfer to Laos. Embark on your longboat cruise along the Mekong River - the seventh-longest in Asia - and arrive in Pakbeng. View villagers and local hill tribes on the riverside, before enjoying dinner and an overnight stay in your lodge. DAY 5: LUANG PRABANG Depart Pakbeng in the morning and sail to Luang Prabang. Admire the passing tropical landscape as you enjoy lunch on board and stop at Pak Ou Caves, which house thousands of intricate Buddha statues. Arrive in Luang Prabang - a UNESCO World Heritage site - and check in at your hotel. DAY 6: LUANG PRABANG Visit Vat Nong Temple with your tour guide and see the traditional Tak Bat ceremony, where monks line the streets and exchange food with locals. Stop at the city’s market - featuring fruit, vegetable, meat, fish, herb and spice stalls - and climb the 328 steps of Mount Phousi for 360-degree views of the town. Overnight in Luang Prabang. DAY 7: LUANG PRABANG Discover the National Museum of Luang Prabang in the Royal Palace and see the three-tiered Khuang Sy Waterfall. Enjoy lunch beside the water and swim in the pools. Head back to Luang Prabang, stopping at the temples of Vat Mai and Vat Wisunarat, before your final evening here.
DAY 8: PHONSAVAN After breakfast, travel towards Phonsavan, which offers a picturesque countryside and pine forests. Pass limestone rock formations on the scenic drive, before an overnight stay. DAY 9: MUANG KHOUN Tour the previous provincial capital of Muang Khoun. See the distinctive Plain of Jars - giant stone sculptures of unknown origin appearing in clusters across the valley - then return to Phonsavan for the night. DAY 10: VANG VIENG Leave for Vang Vieng after breakfast. Located on the banks of the Nam Song River, this small town is surrounded by beautiful landscapes including majestic mountain ranges. Settle into your hotel before embarking on a sunset river cruise. DAY 11: FULL-DAY TREK Head east to a small village for a full-day tour. Trek through the winding valley past limestone caves and rice paddies before reaching a hilltop, secluded waterfall and jungle where you enjoy a relaxing picnic. Return to the village for your transfer back to the hotel in Vang Vieng. DAY 12: VIENTIANE Travel to Nam Ngum Lake - the largest man-made reservoir in Laos - and enjoy breathtaking views on a one-hour boat trip. Catch a glimpse of wild primates on Monkey Island before reaching the traditional village of Tha Heua. Enjoy lunch before travelling to Vientiane for an overnight stay. DAY 13: VIENTIANE After breakfast, explore the traditional temples and French colonial architecture of Vientiane. Tour Wat Sisaket - the city’s largest temple - and look at thousands of little Buddhas before dinner and your final night in the city.

DAY 14: VIENTIANE TO BANGKOK FOR DEPARTURE
Spend your final morning in Vientiane. Head to the historic old quarter and wander broad boulevards lined with pretty cafés and bakeries. Leave Vientiane and transfer to Nong Khai where you travel on the train to Bangkok for your flight home.
