Fujifilm, Permalite To Partner On Synthetic Printing Solutions

Hanover Park, Illinois based Fujifilm North America Cor- poration, Graphic Systems Division, announced a strate- gic partnership with Austin, Texas based Permalite, Inc., the largest inkjet coating manufacturer in the United States. The partnership will enable Fujifilm customers to obtain access to a new collection of specialty print media for the Fujifilm J Press 720S and 750S including synthet- ics such as PVC and Polypropylene, two of the most com- monly used types of synthetic media. “Fujifilm and Permalite share a common mission of col- laborating with customers and producing high-quality and specialty printing products with the most advanced tech- nologies on the market,” said Ed Pierce, Product Market- ing Manager, Fujifilm North America Corporation, Graphic Systems Division. “Through our partnership, we will bring together the complementary strengths of Fujifilm’s digital press technologies with Permalite’s finest inkjet media, maximizing our offerings to our customers.” With more than 50-million square-feet of annual coat- ing capacity, Permalite is known for producing a range of award-winning films, textiles and papers that set the glob- al standard for printable substrate excellence. AF&PA Releases July 2020 Boxboard Monthly Report

AF&PA) released its July 2020 Boxboard Monthly Report. Total boxboard production in July decreased seven per- cent compared to July 2019. The boxboard operating rate was 90.4 percent, down 3.3 points from July 2019 and essentially flat (+0.3 pts.) year-to-date. • Solid Bleached Boxboard production in July decreased 15 percent compared to July 2019. It was down five percent when compared to the same seven months of 2019. • Recycled Boxboard production in July decreased sev- en percent compared to July 2019. It was down one percent when compared to the same seven months of 2019.
