The Accounting Technology Program trains students with skills in preparing, analyzing, and verifying financial documents. Moreover, the Department of Business and Information Technologies assists in giving each student the self-confidence, maturity, and ability to work independently. The programs are designed to give each student excellent skills in mathematical and computer skills, analytic and problem- solving skills, oral and written communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills. As with other industries, technology plays an integral role in the accounting field. Computer applications, database and spreadsheet classes complement the core curriculum with an emphasis on computerized accounting applications. An internship is required of each student in the Applied Science degree program.
