Answering the Soul’s Whisper in Midlife There comes a moment in every woman’s life — especially in midlife — when something inside starts to stir. It doesn’t always arrive loudly. It might show up as restlessness. A quiet ache. A subtle whisper that says, “There has to be more than this.” And if you’re reading this, maybe you’ve heard that whisper, too. We spend years being who we’re supposed to be — mothers, part- ners, caretakers, professionals, achievers. But eventually, the masks get heavy. The roles lose their meaning. And we begin to wonder… What would it feel like to be fully, unapologetically me? For me, that question became real during the pandemic. During COVID, I was practicing Acupuncture and Shiatsu. As the world quieted, I found myself wanting something more. I noticed how often I was coaching my patients while treating them — my words be - came the needles. And I loved it . I realized I was answering my own soul’s calling to go deeper into holding space for healing and trans- formation. It was a natural evolution of my indigenous medicine and curandera training, merged with the transformational coach I was be - coming. But it took something to listen — to really listen — to what I wanted now , compared to what I thought would make my parents proud or justify my Master’s degree.
