Category management & insights Our team of Category Managers are experts on the products which sell well instore, dependent on our customers’ market, the type of retailer they are and the demographic of their shoppers. Category management support includes bespoke planograms, range recommendations, NPD news, visual merchandising support and helpful insights on the latest food trends in the UK and around the world. Our ability to supply bespoke planograms, which are suited to our customers’ store and market, means that we can help give customers a competitive edge over their local competition. As a supply partner, we are fully committed to not only supplying our customers with great British groceries but also making sure they are in the best position to sell them to consumers. We regularly maintain our level of expertise in category management through the Institute of Grocery Distribution (IGD). IGD is a research and training charity that provides in-depth information and best practice to the global food and grocery industry.
Reprocessing The majority of the products supplied by Ramsden International are stored in one of the largest FMCG warehouses in Europe. Covering over 58,000m², our supplier’s main distribution warehouse holds an impressive amount of stock. After being sourced from our main suppliers, our products are then stored in our own reprocessing facility, based in Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, UK. Our reprocessing facility allows us to completely manage logistics, relabelling and data compliance as part of our value-added service offering. The size of the facility enables us to maintain high availability levels for products, which allows us to fulfil our customers’ orders quickly and efficiently. Orders can be picked and ready for onward despatch in as little as 48 hours.
Order flexibility Orders from our different suppliers can be consolidated at our reprocessing facility, allowing our customers to maximise pallet fill and save on transport costs, therefore increasing their profit margin. We can even stack pallets to specific requirements to maximise container fill.
Mixed pallet ordering Keen to trial small quantities of a product in your store? No problem. With our mixed pallet ordering capability, customers can add numerous small quantities of specific products to a mixed pallet order, allowing them to create a perfect selection from our ranges. As long as our minimum order requirements are met, customers can have the opportunity to trial small quantities of products before buying more in future orders.
