CUT-EEZE HAEMOSTATIC DRESSINGS and Kits

First aid training and regulations now include the use of haemostatic dressings and tourniquets for workers who are in high risk environments where serious trauma injuries and bleeding are a possibility. Our haemostatic (or wound clotting) dressings comprise of a white knitted fabric which is made primarily from sodium carboxymethyl cellulose. The new 8599-1 : 2019 standard from the BSI also includes a new critical injury pack designed to meet industry’s need for a first aid kit designed specifically to deal with major trauma injuries and other bleeding problems faced in the workplace. Every working environment is different, so we have introduced a low, medium and high risk version of this kit, to deal with the office, small business or high risk industry. When Cuteeze gauze comes in contact with the bleeding area it quickly absorbs the water contents in the exudates to form a viscous gel which fills the wound and stops the bleeding. This process includes joining with the bloods platelets and the clot to plug the wound and close off the blood vessels. Being a natural product the gauze converts into a gel then dissolves to saline and glucose. We have developed a range of products from our island dressings to large Z-fold gauze rolls which can deal with a range of injuries from serious finger cuts and nose bleeds right up to major lacerations and trauma wounds.
