What has your group been up to this year? Apart from our regular training we’ve taken part in some friendly tournaments with other queer soccer teams, attended an Ireland Women’s international match together as well as hanging out and making friends. “Would highly recommend joining LINC Rebels for learning all the skills and having all of the craic. An absolutely lovely welcoming bunch of women - absolutely zero experience needed to take part in this team & you’ll have a wealth of encouragement to make training as enjoyable as possible”

Anything exciting coming up? Pride Soccer session – LGBTI+ inclusive, Saturday the 30th July When do you meet?

Competitive Football Our league team is geared toward a competitive level of play and participates in regular weekly training sessions in preparation for taking part in the local street leagues in Cork plus the Eurogames which is Europe’s largest LGBTQ+ sports event. Our competitive team has also taken part in the GSFN cup plus we are always on the lookout for LGBT+ and non LGBT+ leagues to further our competitive team. Social Events In addition to our social and competitive football we also organise social events off the pitch which helps with team building and include activities such as footgolf or a games night taking place in The Gay Project to simply meeting for a pint in Chambers Bar. The Cork Rebels are more than just a football team, we are a community for our members and built by our members. Together with our friends at the Gay Project, LinC, Cork Hellhounds, Cork Racketters and the Cork Frontrunners we are proud to be a part of the Cork #LGBTQI+ community for over 5 years and here’s to the next 5 years and beyond. Whatever the skill, whatever the age and whatever club you support! – there is something for everyone at the Cork Rebels FC. We have a passion for football.

provides the LBGT+ community in Cork with the opportunity to play and learn soccer in a positive and friendly environment. Our club does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, sex, color, religion, nationality, physical ability, gender identity, or sexual orientation. Formed in 2018 the club has played continuously in Cork street leagues and won the Footy.ie league in 2019. Our players are both competitive and recreational. Cork Rebels FC players have also participated in the GFSN cup with our partners Dublin Devils FC plus the Gay Games in Paris and Rome in recent years plus many other social and competative leagues both in Ireland and abroad. Social Football Our Saturday kickabout is open to everyone. We encourage you to come play and get to know the other club members and enjoy a relaxed and fun game of football We know how tough it can be to join any club for the first time so we have made sure to welcome every new member. You never have to feel like you don’t belong here. We encourage all members to be mindful of new players. A wind down takes place after each Saturday kickabout where we gather off the pitch over a beverage or two and we have a relaxed chat and catch up with our team mates.
