Maroon 5 superfan Christopher Warner got the thrill of a lifetime recently when he met his favorite group backstage at its concert at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C.
It’s no secret to anyone who knows Christo- pher, the son of St. John Properties client Rick Warner (O&M Engi- neering at Maple Lawn) and his wife, Cecilia, that the fourth-grader is a huge fan of the band. Christopher has created posters calling himself a “#1 fan” of
“He’s an awesome kid,” Maroon 5 keyboardist PJ Morton told ABC News. “He was a little shy from all of the attention. He didn’t want to stand up to take a picture, so we all got on the floor with him to take it that way. I got a high five!”
the group’s lead singer, Adam Levine, and he has been heard singing the band’s hits as he walks through the halls at West Friendship Elementary School. Christopher, who has Down syndrome, was given a backstage pass to meet the band, along with his parents and teachers. When he became star-struck and lay down on the floor, Levine suggested the rest of the group do the same.
