KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE Essential: • Demonstrable experience of: • Contract Administration

COMMUNICATION • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to convey complex information in the most appropriate format INITIATIVE AND PROBLEM SOLVING • Ability to use initiative and creativity to address problems that are difficult to resolve. TEAMWORK AND MOTIVATION • Ability to motivate and lead a project team. • Willingness and ability to work as part of a team PLANNING AND ORGANISING RESOURCES • Ability to manage projects. • Evidence of Focus, drive and self-motivation in order to deliver required project outcomes. • Ability to work under pressure and plan and organise a busy workload with conflicting deadlines

DECISION MAKING • Ability to work on own initiative, take independ- ent decisions and to provide advice and input to others LIAISON AND NETWORKING • Ability to exchange information effectively and maintain relationships with internal and external contacts CIRCUMSTANCES • Able to work flexible hours when required and sufficiently able to access all parts of a construc - tion site

• Experience in using project programming using Microsoft Project / or similar. • Previous experience of running design teams / appointments for multiple medium-sized pro - jects £ 150k to £ 5M Desirable: • Degree or equivalent in relevant subject. • Membership of relevant professional body e.g. RICS or similarly recognised organisation • An understanding of current technical develop- ments and advancements in structure & con- struction techniques. • Experience of managing Asbestos and Asbestos E-Risk register system • Experience of using CAD ( Computer Aided Design ) • Previous experience of surveying and estimating

• Construction Project Management • Knowledge of the following areas: • CDM Regulations • Town & Country Planning Act 1990 • Building Act 1984 • Health & Safety Legislation • NBS specification • British & European Standards / codes of practice • JCT Standard Forms of Building Contract • Procurement and Handover procedures • An understanding of liability and contract law • Experience with construction disputes • Experience in negotiating fees and variation costs. • Previous experience in budget planning and financial control.
