Centennial Park Recreation Center

Centennial Park Pool As outdoor temperatures cooled down, Centennial Park Pool continued to heat up with activity last week! A dedicated group of 298 lap swimmers kept their momentum strong, powering through the crisp air with determination. 116 recreational swimmers embraced the cooler weather with smiles and splashes, proving that fun in the water isn’t just for hot days. And with 72 water aerobics participants moving and grooving in the fresh fall breeze, the pool remained a lively hub of wellness and community spirit. No matter the season, Centennial Park Pool is where energy stays high and the good times keep flowing! It was a fantastic week in the water for our local swim stars! Sea Dragon Aquatics made waves with 118 swimmers diving into practice with enthusiasm and team spirit. 140 Port Charlotte High School swimmers showed up strong, putting in the work and representing their school with pride. And let’s not forget the 2 dedicated divers, soaring with skill and style as they took to the boards. From powerful laps to graceful dives, it’s clear—this community is full of talent, energy, and a love for the sport!

This week, Centennial Park was full of laughter and Halloween spirit as we hosted our Single-Day Halloween Camp! Kids had a blast painting pumpkins, decorating spooky (and delicious!) cookies, and competing in festive games like the mummy relay race. The park was buzzing with creativity, teamwork, and smiles all around. Everyone left with fun memories and a little frosting on their fingers! We can’t wait to welcome our campers back for more seasonal fun at Centennial Park!
