18th Avenue North Landward Phase
Park & Sports Complex Expansion
Construction began in May 2024, and noticable progress has been made. Contractors have completed filling and rough grading, and the drainage installation is in progress. Building construction, irrigation installation, and field construction have begun and are in the early phases. Phase two of the extension of Champions Boulevard is 60% complete. The anticipated completion date for phase two is Spring 2025. The anticipated completion date for phase three of the extension of Champions Boulevard is late 2025. The anticipated completion date for the expansion project is September 2025.
Early December, contractors for the 18th Avenue North Outfall – Landward Drainage Project began setting up traffic control measures for the installation of underground storm drainage piping along North Ocean Boulevard, 16th Avenue North, and 18th Avenue North. They will be connecting pipes from 16th Avenue North to Springland Drive. Work on North Ocean Boulevard is anticipated to be completed by April 2025, with the remaining project work scheduled for completion by August 2025.
