Reviving Old Friendships, Creating New Ones For Kami Huck, who initiated at Gamma Zeta at the University of Puget Sound in 1985, the bonds formed in college didn’t fade after graduation — they deepened with time. After reconnecting at the 2017 memorial of a sister who passed away, Kami and a small group of her sisters realized the true meaning of lifelong friendships. That gathering sparked annual reunions across the Pacific Northwest and tropic destinations. These reunions show that no matter how much time has passed, Alpha Phis can always pick up where they left off. Over the years, they’ve strengthened old bonds — sometimes after 40 years — and created new friendships among sisters Kami didn’t know in college. "These ladies are some of my closest friends," Kami says. "We share joys, sorrows, pictures, worries — whatever is on our mind — most weeks in our group chat. We celebrate together and support each other. When I think about this magic, I wonder: would this have happened without Alpha Phi? I don’t think so."
