Support the participants during practical training scenarios
and activities throughout the standard to
ensure that hand tools and other relevant objects are tethered before working at height, including information about when and how to tether objects
Observe the participants performance and p rovide constructive feedback with focus on their awareness and abilities to tether hand tools and similar relevant objects when working at height
The participants shall:
Ask questions and share experiences on risks posed by dropped objects
In a practical exercise with different hand tools and other relevant objects, individually point out the

following points:
a.
tethering point (on the tool)
b.
tether
c.
anchor point or attachment point
Take part in a discussion about hazards from adverse weather and environmental conditions that may impact the use of hand tools
Take active part in a discussion about mitigating actions and due diligence in relation to handling tools and items in adverse environmental conditions
During practical training scenarios and activities throughout the remainder of the course hand tools and other relevant objects are tethered before working at height
, ensure that
Receive the instructor’s feedback and adjust the tethering accordingly
