PROGRAM: CIVIL SERVICE

MISSION The Civil Service Activity is responsible for maintaining compliance with Chapter 143 of the Texas Local Government Code regarding recruitment, pre-employment evaluations, and operational procedures involving Civil Service personnel in the City of DeSoto. GOALS AND OBJECTIVES • Comply with state statutes and regulations for Civil Service employee.

• Oversee all entry level testing for Civil Service employees. • Manage all promotion processes for Civil Service employees. • Coordinate activities and training for the Civil Service Commission.
